MCP for AI agents

Connect Shipshot to Claude, Codex, Grok, and Cursor

Paste one connector URL. Your agent creates screenshot sets, shows a preview, exports store-ready files, and can open Checkout on your signed-in account if you want the watermark removed. You do not have to open Studio.

Connect Claude

Three steps in Claude

Claude uses OAuth. You sign in once; Shipshot never asks Claude to invent a signup wall before payment.

  1. 1
    Customize

In Claude, open your profile menu and choose Customize.

  2. 2
    Connectors

Open Connectors and add a custom connector.

  3. 3
    Paste the URL

Paste https://getshipshot.com/api/mcp, then sign in with Shipshot. Claude completes OAuth on this site.

What a conversation looks like

Create, preview, export, then remove the watermark

The agent uses the same Studio tools you would: templates, captions, preview, and server-side export. Caption drafts are never applied until you say so.

YouMake App Store screenshots for Pulse, a focus timer. Keep the first three captions short.
AgentCreated Pulse from a free template, applied your three captions, and opened a preview. Basic exports will still carry a watermark.
YouExport the iPhone 6.9-inch set and send me the ZIP.
AgentQueued a 1290×2796 PNG package. I will send the signed download when it finishes. Say if you want the watermark removed — Checkout is saved to this signed-in account.

Tools

The agent can run the whole screenshot workflow

Start with get_started. Then create a set, preview it, export it, and upgrade only if you want clean files.

get_started

Account, plan, watermark status, and the recommended tool order.

create_screenshot_set

Start a project from a template and optional captions. The five core store sizes are created.

list_targets

All 17 export sizes, flagging which five a new project already has.

ensure_target

Build any other size — Apple Watch, Mac, desktop, the Play feature graphic — before exporting it.

preview_set

JPEG thumbnails for every page, plus a human preview URL.

preview_page

One page as a JPEG so the agent can check work without exporting.

upload_screenshot

Place a real device screenshot on a page across every store size.

export_set

Queue a watermark-honest Studio ZIP for one store size.

get_export

Poll until the signed download URL is ready.

generate_captions

Draft Title and Subtitle lines. Never applied until you approve.

update_captions

Write reviewed copy onto the set.

apply_template

Rebuild an existing project from another template.

audit_set

Catch empty copy, leftover template lines, and sample screens.

push_store_listing

Pro/Scale: push a saved ZIP to App Store Connect or Play Console.

create_upgrade_checkout

Stripe Checkout for your signed-in account — removes the watermark once payment clears.

Honest limits

Watermark, sizes, and store upload stay the same

Same 17 sizes on every plan

A new project starts with five: iPhone 6.9, iPhone 6.5, iPad 13, Android phone, and Android tablet. The other 12 — Apple Watch, Mac, desktop, the Play feature graphic, and the other-store sizes — are listed by list_targets and built on request with ensure_target. No plan unlocks extra sizes.

Basic is watermarked

Pro and Scale remove the watermark and unlock paid templates, locales, and AI captions. Checkout is saved to the signed-in account.

ZIP first, optional store push

Every plan downloads a ZIP. Pro and Scale can also push that saved ZIP into App Store Connect or Play Console when store keys exist.

Questions before you connect

What can an AI agent do in Shipshot?

It can create a screenshot set from a template, apply Title and Subtitle copy you approved, show JPEG page previews, upload your screens, queue a store-size export, and open Stripe Checkout on your signed-in account if you want the watermark removed. On Pro and Scale it can also push a saved ZIP to App Store Connect or Play Console when keys exist.

How do I connect Claude?

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, add a custom connector, paste https://getshipshot.com/api/mcp, then sign in with your Shipshot account. Claude uses OAuth. Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code can also send an API key from Account → Integrations.

Are Basic exports watermarked?

Yes. Every plan reaches the same 17 store sizes — a new project starts with five, and ensure_target builds any of the rest. Basic files include a watermark. Pro and Scale remove it and unlock paid templates, extra locales, and AI captions. No plan adds extra export sizes.

Do I have to sign in before I pay?

Your agent opens Stripe Checkout for the signed-in account. After payment the plan is saved to that account. That is what removes the watermark on the next export.

Does Shipshot upload to App Store Connect or Google Play?

Every plan downloads a ZIP. Pro and Scale can also push that saved ZIP into App Store Connect or Google Play Console when you have saved store keys. Basic still uploads the ZIP in the store consoles.

What is the difference between OAuth and an API key?

Claude and ChatGPT connectors sign in with OAuth on /oauth/authorize. Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and Grok can use the same MCP URL with Authorization: Bearer sk_live_… from Account → Integrations. Shipshot stores only a hash of the key.
