Content Licence
What you may do with Shipshot templates and the artwork you export. The principle: your exports are yours, the templates are licensed (not sold), and you are responsible for what you upload.
Last updated August 11, 2026
1. Your exports are yours
Screenshots, feature graphics and other artwork you export from your own projects are yours to use commercially and without attribution: app store listings, websites, advertising, pitch decks, product documentation. Shipshot claims no ownership of your exports.
2. Template licence
Templates are licensed to you, per plan, for creating your own store artwork:
- Basic (free licence): use the free template sets to build and export your own screenshots.
- Pro (standard licence): the full template library, for your own apps and products.
- Scale (extended licence): everything in Pro, plus using exports in client work and across unlimited projects.
3. What is not allowed
- Reselling or redistributing templates as a template library or as part of a competing product.
- Claiming endorsement by Apple, Google or any brand shown in device frames.
- Using uploaded material you do not have rights to — logos, screenshots, fonts or images. You are responsible for your uploads.
4. Third-party material in the service
Shipshot’s bundled device frames are project-owned, unbranded artwork generated without third-party image inputs. They are not official Apple, Google or other manufacturer assets, and using a device or output-size name does not claim endorsement. You remain responsible for any branded device art that you upload yourself.
Shipshot renders exports in your browser. The editor self-hosts its font families under their upstream open-source licences — the bundled Google Fonts families are covered by the SIL Open Font License 1.1 — and those licences apply to the font software, not to the screenshots you export. For licence notices about any component the service runs, contact support.
